Memorial Day...

....was really different this year for us. We have never missed a family breakfast (on my Dad's side) or have never missed visiting Cory's dad's grave and headstone since we have been married. But this year we did. We took our new trailer out for the first time and went along with some friends, the Newman family. We needed to stay close by because Angie had to talk in Sacrament meeting on Sunday, so she and I traveled back and attended church, and then returned to the campsite. We had a lot of fun, despite the rainy weather. The kids had a blast playing together, riding 4 wheelers, playing games, shooting guns, roasting marshmallows, and watching movies when it was too rainy to be outside. When it was time to go home on Monday, the kids didn't want to leave!

The best part of this camp trip for me, was that Cory did most of the cooking! His employees gave him a Camp Chef for Christmas and I gave him some accessories, so there were no excuses! He and Shane did a great job, and we ate really well! The clean up is sooooo much easier when you cook outside. We were able to camp at a dry farm about 25 minutes away from home, so there was this little farm house, with a grassy backyard, a few trees, with a fire pit, horseshoes, and a place to shoot trap. They also had a great little metal shed that had three sides that were covered, which worked out really well for cooking and setting up our picnic tables and chairs out of the weather! We had a lot of fun, and are looking forward to many more camping memories this year! Thanks Newman's!
