Easter Sunday...

Our Easter Sunday was really laid back and low key. We had our fun and celebrating with family on Saturday, so on Sunday we just stayed home, except for church, and spent the day together, had dinner as a family, and watched Disney's Enchanted after dinner. It was kind of nice to not have to be anywhere, and to just spend the day together. After the Easter Bunny came, and all that hype was over, Cory talked to the kids about the real reason we celebrate Easter, and answered a few questions from the kids. Afterward I asked Kambree.... "so what is Easter all about?" and she promptly responded with a huge grin and much excitement... "the Easter bunny and hiding eggs!" ......So much for that..... I guess we'll try again next year!

All our beautiful kids just before church on Easter Sunday. Sure wish that box of clothes wasn't sitting on that chair! (thanks a lot Amy Jo!)
All the Girls sat in mom and dad's bed and read in the morning before church..... Kambree is looking at the friend..... (she called it reading, even though she can't "read") It was a really nice and relaxing day.

She's FINALLY here!!.....

Yea! Aaron and Amy's baby FINALLY arrived last night at 9:18pm, weighing in at a whopping 9 pounds and 7 ounces, 21 1/2 inches, with dark hair and oh so beautiful! They are naming her Gracey Lynn Thurgood. It was a long wait, they went in thinking she was going to have to have a C-Section and they decided to "induce" labor and see if they could get her body to respond the way it needed to. (at this point she was already a week over due) It worked! So we waited, and waited, and waited all day, till she was complete. It was great timing for Amy's dad, who flew in from Las Vegas, and after a 3 hour delay at the Vegas airport, he arrived at about 8:30pm.

Their very first Family Picture. Gracey was only about 30 minutes old.
I took this picture this morning, I LOVE it! Aaron was holding Gage and Gracie, and they were both just talking to her, and gage was saying things that made Aaron laugh. He is so cute! I can't believe my little brother is a Dad! He was just so amazed last night, it brought him to tears, and it was so cool to witness that! He is loving every minute of this, and I am so grateful that I could be there with them. I just wish I would have taken more pictures of her face today, I was too busy holding her and talking, and didn't get too many. All I have are the ones from last night, as you can see below.
She was so wide awake and checking out everyone and everything.... What a doll! Her tongue was going a hundred miles and hour, in and out, and trying to eat her blanket... you'd think at 9 and half pounds she wouldn't need to eat already!

Easter Eggs....

We dye Easter Eggs every year for family night on the monday before easter. The kids really look forward to it, as you can see so does my Dad. He really gets into it! His favorite are the marbled ones! Him and Martha Stewart are great buds! :) Mom and Dad come over every year to do eggs, we have alot of fun and look forward to it. Except for maybe Cory.... he doesn't hate it, I just wouldn't say he looks forward to it! :) Gage had fun...for a few minutes, and then he was off to play with his tools. I made him pose and show his egg with his name on it. Everytime I say "smile" he scrunches up his face, and closes his eyes. What a funny boy! Layne and Tiffani had tickets to Beauty and the Beast, so we watched Thomas while they went. He LOVED the easter eggs! He got into it more than Gage. So we made him his own egg with his name on it and sent it home with him. He was so much fun to watch! I swear I took a picture of Kassie making an egg for her friend Hailee Jo, but it's not in the file....don't know where it went.

Heather and Jaeleen's stuffed French Toast for breakfast was so awesome! Thanks Girls! (Sorry to Shelbie....I spelled your name wrong in a few of these...I finally clued in! Who the freak knows how to spell Mannequin?)

Happy Birthday Dad!

Wow! My dad is 60 years old today! (March 10th) Time just flies. 60 used to sound so old, now I think it's young! He better have a good 30 years or more left! What a great man! I am such a lucky girl! I am so blessed to have him in my life and my kids lives. He is such a great example to all of us, wise and full of great advice. He comes across as quiet and mellow, but once you get to know him, he has a great sense of humor, and is so much fun! Cory is so grateful for him too. His dad died in 1991, and although my dad could never take Gary's place, Cory has said many times, that he is his Dad. He can go to him with anything and feels like he can ask him for anything. I am also grateful that my kids are the oldest grandkids, because they will always have more time with him, and get to know him better. Especially living right next door. We lived next door to his mom, my grandma margaret, in Syracuse. I am so grateful for that, and the time I had to spend with her. She taught me alot, I just wish I would have been a little older, so that things would have been more important to me, and I would have paid more attention. This is typically the kind of pictures I get of Dad, if he knows that you are going to take his picture. Usually it is a picture of the bottom of his boot, he just lifts his foot and puts it between my camera and his face! UGHHHHH! I have always just deleted those pictures, but this time I had a use for one, and didn't have it, so from now on they are just going to be added to the collection. His great grandchildren will be looking at pictures of Great Grandpa's boots for years to come! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!! WE LOVE YOU BAW-PAW!

The Funnies.....

These are just a few pictures that I wanted to share, no particular occasion, just "funny". Kambree is 3. She HATES to have her hair done. That is why it is always the same.....straight and plain. But this particular day her mom made her stand and the sink in the bathroom and cry while she did her hair in these cute little braids. I thought I better take a picture because we might not get her hair done "cute" for a while. As you can see she is really happy about it.

My Kassie is the Queen of Pout. She was pouting over something that I would not let her do and Gage and Kambree decided to join her. I thought it was funny.....however Kassie was more upset because I was taking her picture. (I don't blame her, I would be mad too, but a mom has to document such things.....right?) But what a good brother and sister she has that will protest with her.....how sweet! Gage was even giving her hugs and kisses because she was sad.
These are my sister-in-laws that I like to call...."the Amy's" because they are both Amy. Amy Lynn is on the left and married to my brother Aaron. Amy Jo is on the right and married to my brother Jake. They are due 1 week apart in March (the 13th and the 19th) We had dinner as a family Friday night at Ruby River after going to the temple. I made them pose for a picture because it was our last chance as Amy Jo was being induced on Wednesday March 5th. (I am sure they will love this picture.........someday)

Our Awesome Gymnasts.....

These photos are from Parent's Night at X-Cel Gymnastics. The girls had alot of fun and did a really good job! Kristian's Bar routine. She did really good and didn't need any help!

Shayell helping Kristian with her beam routine. It's a good thing K didn't fall......I think Shayell would have just broke her fall and been squashed! I think K is about her same size!
I have no idea what these are called. But you sit like you are going to do the splits and then put your arms down on the floor in front of you, and then just roll forward into a summersault, keeping your legs out the whole time. These are Kassie's favorite.
Ms. Katie helping Kassie with her beam routine.
Kambree's summersaults........all the way to the end! I would be sooooooo dizzy when I got up!
Ms. Katie helping Kambree with her beam routine. She was so proud of herself!

FYI.....

Many of you have said or commented that this guy they have chosen to play Edward doesn't really look like what you had pictured him to look like. I didn't think so either. But...... then after I looked at several of the other videos on youtube..... I am really impressed. I think they did a really good job of casting. Watch the video that has (the cullens) after one of the titles. They all look alot like what I had pictured. WOW! Did I tell you I am excited!? Too bad it is still months away! :(
