Halloween

Trunk or Treat 09

We were in charge of Halloween celebrations this year for Bothwell. We decided on a lighted maze in the park. I think it turned out great and the kids seemed to like it and have fun! We also had a backdrop for pictures and then we just emailed them out to everyone. It was fairly easy with easy clean up! I love fall and the decor... I just wish winter didn't have to follow!

For Halloween this year the kids were....

Kristian was a Pirate

Kassie a Mad Hatter

Kambree a Witch

Gage was Spiderman

School Days Again

I was the first to shout.... NO!! I am not ready!
Apparently, my opinion didn't matter, and it was time to start school again.
The kids were excited... I was extremely reluctant. I would keep them home with me, if I could.
My baby girl started kindergarten.... I almost made it out of the classroom before I cried. Almost.

Big sister... showing little sister "the ropes"

Kam on her first day of Kindergarten. You can just see the excitement in her eyes!

I spent so much time taking pictures of Kambree in kindergarten (because she still needs me, right? :) That by the time I made it over to Kassie's class, school had already started. Does she look a little embarrassed by the fact her mother is standing in the doorway taking pictures?

Here we go again.... another school year under way!

4 Great Kids

My Dad took these photos in Lake Tahoe.
Four pretty amazing, fabulous, awesome, wonderful, brilliant, & uber spectacular kids! I love em'!

Kristian 13 years

Kassie 9 years

Kambree 5 years

Gage 3.5 years

I just have one question.... how is it that they all look like their Dad? I mean seriously, you think I could have got at least one out of the bunch!? sheesh!

Swimming Lessons....

... are a staple of summer.
This year was no exception.
{Only because they were scheduled and paid for BEFORE I decided to work full time. So, thanks to my good friends, Tiff & Jen, my kids still got to take their lessons, and they had to take 3 extra kids everyday.}

Kassie had something to say, apparently....

I just love this pic of Kam & Nick.... mostly because I can't wait to show it to them in 10-15 years! :)

Gage really surprised me with how much he got involved and loved it. I really thought he was going to need quite a bit of coaxing.

.... and he even braved the "big kid" slide! :)

Another year of improvements.... just keep swimming, just keep swimming!

Bothwell 24th Celebration

We had a great weekend of celebrating our pioneer heritage...
BOTHWELL STYLE!
Cory and I were recently called to serve as the ward's Services and Activities Chairmen. Which meant we were in charge of this huge event, but it was planned and assigned out carefully, and it really wasn't too much work. Everyone just does their part, and it all comes together.

After the big dinner, is the much anticipated rodeo.... and the kids had a BLAST! Above you can see Kassie on the right in the green shirt, getting ready for the kids Tug of War.

Kambree really surprised me with wanting to ride a sheep. I had asked earlier in the day, and got a resounding NO from all of the kids, so when she asked, I was surprised, but said okay. Obviously the flip flops weren't a great idea... but hey, she had fun! Landed face first in the dirt, but came up smiling, and no tears!

Kassie also participated in the kids barrel race (top, far right) and the boot race.

This is the only picture I have of Cory and I... proof that we really were there, just busy. I didn't take one photo! That is rare! Thanks Dad for being the photographer!

5 - The "Magical" Number

My Baby Girl turned 5 today.....
while she is excited....
mommy is sad.
5 seems to be that Birthday where you lose them as your "little ones" and they become one of the "big kids".
The biggest reason for this is obviously school.... she's off to Kindergarten, and that leaves me sitting here wondering where the time went and how she grew so fast right before my eyes!

Kambree is fun, and sweet, and beautiful, carefree, and is always a good girl that does what she is asked.

All she asked for this year was a "Big" backpack for school and Sketchers that "Light-up".

(talk about easy to please!)

She had to open her gifts pretty quick and early, because her Birthday fell on a Sunday and we had church at 9 am!

(hence the sleepy eyes and messy hair!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY "Big" GIRL!!!

We Love You!

Gymnastics Spring Show

The girls had their Gymnastics Spring Show on June 6th.
It was held at the Bear River High Auditorium... and needless to say it was a big place, and we were not very close to get any good pics,
but Kassie and Kambree did a great job!

I have noticed improvements in them this last year, and they really enjoyed their classes. Kambree's class was a combination mini-cheer and she really liked that part of it too.

The Graduate

My baby girl graduated from preschool today.
Wow... I know we all say time flies too quickly... but I really swear this little girl was just born a year ago. It might have something to do with the fact that her brother came along so quickly, and unexpectedly, and I didn't have as much one on one time with her as I did her sisters... but either way... her mom is just not ready for kindergarten.
Ms. Nicole gave them a "Countdown to Kindergarten" packet with treats and books, etc.....

Kambree & her teacher Ms. Nicole

Just a few random pictures I took out in front of the house before we left for graduation.

She is totally in love with these kittens right now.... the minute she wakes in the morning, she is out on the patio to round one of them up so they can snuggle and watch cartoons til mom gets breakfast.

Oh, the innocence.... I wanna keep her just as she is for a long, long, time....

Children's Treehouse Museum

We started off Spring Break by heading down to Ogden to the.....
Children's Treehouse Museum

The kids had tons of fun... I sat on a bench and read a book looking up appropriately and ooohhhh-ing and ahhhhhh-ing when I heard that ever familiar "Mommy Look" shout. A perfect place for all of us.... and they are asking to go back already. We spent 3 hours there, with crafts, games, puzzles, toys, things to climb all over, and plays to participate in.

It is totally recommened for anyone who has never been!

Afterwards we walked over to the Soloman Center and had dinner at Costa Azul while watching the kids on the Flo-Rider. It was a great day out!

Silly Girl

We were late for Preschool today.
Lost track of time, and before you know it..... her ride was here to pick her up, and we weren't ready.
So we quickly got dressed and ready, and ran her in to school.
On the way there, I looked back and this is what I saw:

I said... "Wow Kambree, you are looking Hott!".

She just replied.... "I know!"

I LOVE that kind of play!
Looking forward to Spring and Summer more and more everyday.
