I have no experience with adoption, but every time I hear that song I cry. My favorite part is "can you kiss him once for me?" I can't imagine the emotions that get stirred up in mothers who give their babies up for adoption, and mothers who so graciously receive them. It really is a beautiful gift. I'm afraid I wouldn't be strong enough to give one up, but I'm so thankful for people who are. God's plan is truly amazing.

What a blessing adoption is. I believe with all my heart that Kade and I were meant to be with our parents. That is how our Father in Heaven got us to our family here on earth...through the arms of courageous, selfless, & very spiritual young women. I love that song. I sometimes wish I could find her, give her a big hug and say THANK YOU!

My adoption story is a little different. I'm only half adopted & not because my biological dad gave me up for the better, he just abandoned my mom & my family. I am thankful for the dad who took me in & loved me like his own & gave me his last name. I am thankful that he could step up when my alcholic, abusive, biological dad didn't. I agree that adoption is such a blessing, no matter what your story is, sometimes for those who give but definately for those who receive!!

WOW! I love this post. Adoption is such a blessing. I have family that has adopted children and family that has given their child up for adoption both are blessings in their lives. We have friends that just adopted 2 siblings from Oklahoma it is crazy but the little girl looks just like her new mom and the little boy looks just like his new daddy. I had a friend growing up that had been adopted that later found her biologicaal mother and it was a horrible experience I have felt so bad for her. She had her hopes of it being different. She was so blessed to of had the good parents she had to raise her. Thanks Katie this sure helps us look at the blessing we have around us each day.
