We had a ton of fun camping this last weekend with some friends. The kids had alot of fun with an extra 2 days off from school with....

*Hiking

*Playing Video Games

*Eating Junk Food

*Playing Baseball

..... among other things. Thanks to some great friends for the fun times and getting in one last trip of the year! We missed those of you who couldn't come or had other plans! but we had fun without you! :D

Sept 19 - 21 we went camping up to some friends property in Bull Canyon. (For that post see the Sept 20-22 dated posts) Had a lot of fun with just Grandma Caroll and Granpa Boyd. Great Place for photos..... and I had some fun practicing. Here is what I came up with..... Kristian Before:

Talk about all Natural..... we didn't even run a brush through their hair! Guess it goes along with the scenery!

Wish I would have thought about it, and I would have had brought them some good clothes, and Gage's hat. Oh-well, next time.

Bull Canyon Camping

Some friends of ours were so nice and let us go up to their property in Bull Canyon to camp. We went with Grandma Caroll and Grandpa Boyd. Had a lot of fun, with great weather .... (just a litle rain, warm and sunny days). This was a great place to camp with kids... green grass, a swing, fire pit, picnic table, cool old buildings to explore, and hiking up the mountain.

Kambree and Kassie swingin'. They loved the swing... and fought over it most of the time.

Kassie and Kambree were little buddies this trip. Above they had tied their legs together with baling twine, and were doing leg races.... except they weren't racing anyone. Below they shared a chair around the fire, to color together and play a game.

Labor Day Camping...

We had other plans for this weekend.... We usually go to the Eastern Idaho State Fair in Blackfoot Idaho this weekend, with my parents. (Just adults) but Mom & Dad decided not to go because my sister is due to have her baby any day, and they wanted to be close and not commit to anything and then with Kambree needing IV medications, we decided to take the family camping. Grandma Caroll and Grandpa Boyd came along, and we had so much fun. We decided to try out Clear Creek.... we hadn't been there for a few years. This is a popular camping weekend and there were plenty of campers that decided on Clear Creek too.

The kids totally loved playing in the water. It was really low, and slow, so it was nice to be able to just let them play! Gage was in heaven with his paper cup! Kassie had so much fun catching little fish with her paper cup.

We had so much fun, despite the storm that rolled in Sunday afternoon.

Lava Hot Springs

Cory is finally getting caught up at work, with the help of a couple new employees, so we decided to get in another camping trip with the kids before school starts. We ended up at a campground close to Lava Hot Springs last weekend. We were there for four days, and it was so nice to get away with just the kids and have some family time and fun. Our little camping spot, very nice and shady. Why is it kids are always drawn to water.... even if they are not getting in it? Here they all are, just throwing rocks in.

It was a fun weekend despite these 5 stitches from slipping at the pool......

...... and the flat tire on the trailer on the way there! (of which I don't have a picture of, because I was busy changing it while Cory watched! :D))

CAMPING..... again!

We had a fun family camping trip this week up Logan Canyon to the Franklin Basin area. We went along with some friends, and all the kids had a BLAST! Although it was extremely dirty with all the dry dusty dirt, we went down to Bear Lake to let the kids play at the beach and in the sand. They had so much fun and could just play for hours on end. Not everything about this trip was great. We had some problems with our truck the first morning we were trying to leave for Bear Lake. After much prayer on my part that we could make it the rest of the way up the canyon, we arrived in Bear Lake and Cory took his truck over to a shop in Laketown that he knew of. They determined that it was one of the fuel injectors so they would need to order parts. So the six of us crammed into Layne's and Shane's trucks along with their families so we could make it back to camp...... back to the lake the next day...... back to camp..... etc.. it seemed everytime they said they would have it fixed, they would have some reason why it wasn't done yet. So we were finally able to pick it up at 5:00 on Thursday. Just in time for it to pull our trailer home. But, hey, we made it. Thanks to our wonderful friends for all their help and cramming their families in so we could fit! All in all..... we had a great time! (Apparently I didn't take many pictures at camp. Only found 2 that were pretty dark. So I guess we will enjoy the beach photos.) Great memories!! Thanks Friends!!
